Block Diagonal Dominance-Based Model Reduction Method Applied to MMC Asymmetric Stability Analysis

چکیده

Frequency-domain model reduction is a crucial concern in applying the prevailing impedance method for stability analysis of complex systems, e.g., modular multilevel converter (MMC). Recently, it has been shown that under symmetric conditions, 2 × matrix-based characterizing two coupled frequencies MMC are sufficient its analysis. However, when asymmetry occurs, principally, much higher number frequency couplings will appear and thereby leads to significant rise dimension. Enlighted by this issue, there an urgent need finding suitable frequency-domain can serve as general criterion reduction. To end, article proposes block diagonal dominance (BDD)-based applied asymmetric MMC. Basically, BDD decompose N-dimensional task N one-dimensional tasks, via which dimension be realized. It properly shifting from one domain another (e.g., ?-? d-q domain), property achieved most scenarios. Finally, various case studies considering different degrees conducted validate effectiveness proposed method.

We present numerical methods for solving systems of linear equations originated from the discretisation of two-dimensional elliptic partial diierential equations. We are interested in diierential equations that describe heterogeneous and anisotropic phenomena. We use a nonoverlapping domain decomposition method for solving the linear systems. We describe new local preconditioners for the interf...

Diagonal Dominance Design of Mu&variable Feedback Control Systems using the Stability-equation Method

A systematic procedure is proposed for the design of multivariable feedback control systems. For an N x N multivariable control system, the desirable overall compensator is decomposed into N cascaded sub-compensators to be determined in each step. The stabilityequation method is used to find the desirable sub-compensators. After step N, the overall closed-loop system can be designed diagonal do...

Diagonal Dominance and Harmless Off-diagonal Delays

Systems of linear differential equations with constant coefficients, as well as Lotka–Volterra equations, with delays in the off–diagonal terms are considered. Such systems are shown to be asymptotically stable for any choice of delays if and only if the matrix has a negative weakly dominant diagonal.
